Gerberas reception?

i want to use gerber daisies in square or urn-shaped vases as centerpieces for our evening reception. i want to fill the vase a little with black stones and then put the gerbers in there.

do they have to be wired like they do in a bouquet for this?

and do they have to be put in water?

when should i buy them and put them out if my reception will be in the evening?
Gerberas reception?
yeah you should have some water in there for them. you don't want them wilting

they don't have to be wired if your vases will support them sufficiently.

but if you are going to want them to hold their own with not much support you should wire them

you can get them from bulk flower sites online or even costco and that sort of wholesaler sells flowers now.

oh don't forget looking at your local grocery store in the floral dpt- our local shop rite has bunches of gerberas daily # bunches for $10 - they can order quantity too for larger orders
Reply:I'm thinking about having gerbera's in my bouquet. This would be a great way to use them at the reception. It sounds really cute, I might have to borrow it for my wedding!
Reply:You need water or they will wilt pretty quick, especially if its going to be warm. Do the idea witht he vase and rocks, just add water. Or a cheapers solution, buy silk! Its cheaper and they last forever!
