Wedding cake design... what do you think?

i just love this design. i have decided to replicate it, slightly modified, for my wedding cake.

wired ribbon on top and some cascading down the side.

instead of roses i was going to use gerberas and a few other smaller flowers (gerberas are my main wedding flower)



and smooth icing not imbelished.



what do you think?

I LOVE it! I love the colors and pearls at the bottom! And the ribbons too! It will be a big hit I'm sure! That will look great in your wedding pics!

Reply:It's what you would expect of a wedding cake. It's kinda normal, pretty, nothing remarkable or exciting about it.

I LOVE gerberas too!! The ONLY thing....I have read this and personally witnessed this....gerberas DO NOT hold up well once cut and out of water. I was at a wedding this summer and they used gerberas for the men's boutonnieres and they were wilted by the time the reception rolled around!!



So...you may want to go with silk gerberas OR another real flower that holds up better. I'm not trying to discourage you, just telling you want I have seen AND read about gerbera daisies!
