What flowers for my wedding?

im getting married 2.14.09. my colors are black, white, red. I was originally going to have me with all white long stem callas and fiance to match bout. my bridesmaids were going to have red tulips and the groomsmen were going to have a gerbera daisy for their bout. the parents and grandparents were going to wear roses.

i think its to mixed matched.



so what do you think i should do?



I still want the tulips and gerbera daisies. I was thinking of changing my bouquet to tulips, gerbera and something else. fiance would wear the something else as a bout.

the bridesmaids would carry all gerbera daisies that way they would match the groomsmen.

What flowers for my wedding?
Well, I am getting married on February 16th and after I had already booked my wedding date I realized I had made a mistake in regards to the flowers. Flowers triple in price around Valentine's Day...so, for me to have roses for my bridal bouquet was sooo expensive. I went with the Gerbera daisies for my bridesmaids. I think it is a cute flower, and it was also very affordable. Of course, if money is no object...I would say to have the white calla lilies with a few white roses.

Reply:I would go with either the roses or the daisies. I love tulips but they wilt so easily. Or you could do calla lilles for everyone. A nice big bouquet for you an a smaller one or just a single calla for the bridesmaids.
Reply:Have each girl carry a different red flower and the boy that they are walking with can have a matching boutinerre (sp?). My girlfriend is doing that with purple flowers -- we're each carrying a bouquet of different flowers and her bouquet is a mix of all of our flowers together.

Reply:I'm using tulips, lilies and roses, too. I'm just going to put some of each in my bouquet so it all blends. Maybe taking out the daisies would make it more formal, but really no one is going to be sitting at you wedding thinking "oh man her flowers aren't the same" :) And if they do they aren't really your friends!



If you like them then run with it , don't sweat the small stuff :)

Reply:I have a simple solution for you, take out the gerbera daisies. They look too casual for a formal winter wedding. Keep the tulips, lilies and roses.

If it were me I'd do the calle lillies for my boquet in white.



The bridesmaids with the gerber and the groomsmen, and the groom with a white calle.
