What color for bridemaids dresses?

I am thinking of changing the color from champagne because I don't want it to look as though I have 5 more brides behind me. The only problem is that I'm not sure what color to choose. It is a fall outdoor wedding at an old mansion and I'm having fall gerbera daisy bouquets with reds, oranges, yellows and hot pink. What color dress compliments this without the flowers blending in and look formal for the setting?

Reply:I agree with Daniel, black would be great! Or if you haven't ordered the flowers yet have them not put the pink, yellow or red in and use those. Another idea is to accent the champagne with a sash. Pick a color that is not the main color used in your bouquets. Or again leave one of the colors out of the flowers. I'm sure you will get it!! Have a great wedding!! It sounds beautiful already!
Reply:Have you seen the demo boquets yet? Does the hot pink work with the other colors?

I would go with darker colors....

I like the black idea

Navy blue

Plum

I would just look at every wedding book I could get a hold of. Even if you see something in one book and then in another you can piece things together.

It will all fall in place! Good Luck!
Reply:either brown, black or that burnt orange color. my sister in law had a fall wedding and used a dress similar below but a different designer and a darker color orange. they looked gorgeous with the girls since they all had tans. the dresses really popped aganist their skin and flowers. the pictures turned out really pretty too!!!

Reply:What about a burnt orange color? I think that would look nice. Or perhaps a dark red.

You could have your bridesmaids wear the champagne, then maybe get each of them different colored sashes. This way it won't look like 5 brides behind you!

If you want to play around with some colors then try Davids Bridal Dress Your Wedding program on their website. Great program - fun to play with too!

Good luck! ?
Reply:With those flowers, a soft yellow dress would be nice. So would a sage green or the colour called celadon at David's. Royal blue would be striking.

Brown seems to be the rage lately but I don't get it. Brown seems so dreary for a wedding.
Reply:i wouldnt go brown coz alot of guests go brown and black... i would go different colour for each bridesmaids in the same dress myabe they could all wear one colour of the flowers ur having that looks quite nice..... or you could go a nice baby pink
Reply:Personally an Emerald green is just gorgeous but I don't think it would go with the fall theme and your flowers so my next choice will be Orange dresses which always look wonderful but not so vibrant or not too pale either.
Reply:green (lime)

pink

sky blue

dark blue

red

violet

light purple

yellow

white?
